Overview

The existing website was dated and untouched for some time. I was tasked to refresh the entire website from the visuals to user experience.

Phase 2 required adding an e-commerce portion to the site. The challenge was to design an easy to use e-commerce platform that streamlined the ordering process and looked great on a mobile devices.

Client
Objectives

  1. Create visual refresh for the existing brochure website.

  2. Add e-commerce. Allow for users ability to purchase their own phones plans online.

  3. Design for both desktop and mobile experiences.

Role &
Scope

I was the sole designer on this project, also working with a copywriter and project manager. I was responsible for leading all the visual creative and UX/UI for phase 2 e-commerce. With minimal to zero existing assets, a lot of new creative had to be created from scratch. Style, tone, look and feel for stock photos, illustrations and imagery had to be created. I was client facing for majority of the project, participating in presentations, feedback and management.

Illustrations

Playful, whimsical and approachable imagery was developed to help support the Ice Wireless brand.

Design
Process

✅ Custom illustrations for hero images, landing pages, supporting articles, etc.

✅ Edit, retouch and finesse stock photography images.

✅ Collaboration throughout the project with client and team members from project start to finish.

✅ Map and create e-commerce sitemap, wireframes and user flows.

✅ Develop final layouts which translate to both desktop and mobile applications.

Phase 2:
E-Commerce

Upon completion of the visual refresh, we were tasked to build an e-commerce portion of the website, to allow consumers to buy products, manage their accounts and do more, all online. Previously, only a phone number and store location address’ were made available for users to make purchases. Basic plans with limited options were made available at launch, so ease of use and simplicity in the check-out process was priority.
