Overview
Selected independent pharmacies in partnership with Mylan wanted to create an application that helps users track, monitor and schedule their medication usage with a daily, easy to use application.

Objectives
Create an application that can help users monitor their medication and vitamins. Medication intake reminders, refills, dosage, etc.
Provide users rewards and information via their independent pharmacy.
Provide brand awareness and interaction between pharmacy, Mylan and their users.
Role &
Scope
I was tasked with leading the overall design of the application, which included managing client expectations, user experience and visual design. Also included during this process was a copywriter and project manager. There was also a partnership with a third party company to help assist with user experience and development of the application. Lots of client meetings were had to explore user scenarios and experiences.
Design
Process
✅ Meet with client and stakeholders to determine audience, scope and goals.
✅ Worked closely with a third party team (Moveable) to create sitemaps, develop UX/UI, produce wireframes and overall user experience.
✅ Research user behaviour to provide optimal user experience.
✅ Apply visual design and oversee art direction.
✅ Software used for this project included Adobe Creative Suite, Balsamiq, Microsoft Office and good old pen and paper.
Gamification
As an added incentive, to encourage users to use the app more and discover more features, points were awarded for application usage. For example, fill out new medication reminder — gain 10 points. Request medication information — receive 5 points. There are 3 levels of rewards that the user can redeem. The higher the level, the greater the reward. Points can then be turned into discounts or benefits from the partnered local pharmacy or Mylan.
